The deosion by City of Edinburgh Council to restrict the licence of La Belle Angele sent a shock wave through Edinburgh’s club scene. The issue at the centre of the debate was flyposting: to the council it’s an illegal form of littering which costs

thousands of pounds to clean up but to many of the City’s club promoters, it’s the only form of advertismg which is not prohibitively expensive.
