Middle Ingiend 0.. Kirk and Messingham with Lucinda Raikes, Pleasanee. until 2 7 Aug. 6.15pm. Introducing a sketch show with a rubbish trick and an anti-supermarket poem is an odd way to capture your audience. The tone. however. was thus set for the bizarre and unsettling comedy to follow (taking most of the audience with it). Piliaging the treasure-trove of dross and eccentricity that lie behind Middle England suburbia. this trio set out to satirise and surrealise the Sierra drivers of our green and pleasant land. Normal situations are subverted and media pap such as Changing Rooms humiliated: their general dynamic moves from the mundane to the ridiculous. often leading into dark spaces. Well performed with clever writing. this has definite. if somewhat bewildering. potential. (Ruth Hedges)
