Weill and Bertolt Brecht tracking the travails of Charles Lindbergh as he traversed land, sea. time zones and the human imagination to make his Atlantic crossing in 1927. The result is a brief but entrancing tribute to one man‘s nerve, skill and sheer bloody mindedness, and musically this spectacular opera invokes these adrenalised sensations.
