Circa Assembly @ Assembly Hall, 6-31 August, 4.30pm

Jamie Kilstein - Revenge of the Serfs Assembly @ George Street, 6-31 August, 9.00pm

Circus with a modern twist! This is pure spectacle; exceptional circus acts, combined with movement, dance, light, sound and video. Come and experience a thoroughly new kind of circus, which is at once poetic and intense. “Fury-fuelled, physically astonishing…fusing traditional circus skills with dance, music, theatrical expression and technical accomplishment.” Irish Times, July 2009

Kataklo - Love Machines Assembly @ George Street, 6- 31 August, 5.05pm

Kataklo, the renowned Italian physical theatre company made up of professional athletes and former Olympic gymnasts present their world premiere of Love Machines. A beautiful meditation on discovery and joy, this show is an homage to Leonardo da Vinci’s studies of body and machines and it portrays a slanted word where things turn out straight. "The performers dazzle with their beauty and grace this is a jaw dropping explosion of a performance, guaranteed to entertain." The Stage

The maverick New York comedian, in his second visit to Edinburgh looks at US imperialism and how America ‘may have elected the black guy but are still screwing over the rest of the world.’ Razor sharp, political and very funny, Jamie’s work has already incurred the wrath from the American right and the ‘lobby’ group God Hates Fags. "If you think comedy should be about something more than just froth and banter... If you want to hear someone standing-up for freedom of speech and smacking religious bigotry and political stupidity squarely in the face...then this hugely talented American is the guy for you.” Tim Arthur, Time Out Comedy Editor.

Greg Behrendt - Love, Sex, Pudding, Death Assembly @ George Street, 6-31 August, 7.40pm

A prolific writer, performer and stand-up, Greg’s credits include: consulting on three seasons of Sex and the City during which a throwaway comment of “he’s just not that into you” to a fellow staffer spawned his unique approach to no- nonsense dating advice; co-authoring the three- million-copy-selling He’s Just Not That Into You which inspired the 2009 US box office number!
