ANTOJITO CANTINA Last year it was Thai, but this year the pop-up packing crate hole in the wall at the old Forest Café (now freshly Assemblified) has gone Mexican, selling burritos, nachos and leafy bean salads with a choice of braised beef, pulled pork, chicken tinga or a five-bean chilli. ■ Assembly Checkpoint, 3 Bristo Place, noon-2am, antojito.co.uk
KHUSHI’S ON THE MOVE With their restored 1970s Airstream trailer, Edinburgh curry house Khushi’s is doing a good trade in restaurant- quality curry at street-food prices. The choice is between a traditional chicken curry or a vegetarian chana aloo, with good value meal deals at £7.95 offering pakora on the side.
