From The List ARCHIVE Who’s this fresh-faced and considerably more hirsute young fella? Only Daniel Kitson in 2002 – the year he won the Perrier. Seems the notoriously elusive comedian wasn’t always thus (though his ‘self-indulgent whimsy’ thankfully hasn’t changed much). Since then, he’s picked up a few Fringe Firsts for his more theatrical works and this year he’s back with Polyphony, a solo piece (with help from some audience members armed with iPods). Kitson’s not so free and easy with speaking to the press these days, so enjoy this wee interview we did with him in August 2002, before he became the cult behemoth he is now.
