The script is appalling whilst lemme tatale Tennant and Andrews are unconvincing in the extreme. It is always a pleasure to encounter the ageless Lilli Palmer as Caine's mum and Caine himsell retains a sense at dignity throughout but how many dud films can his reputation withstand?
