Scottish Opera present a new production of II Trovatore by Verdi (pictured above) at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow opening on Wednesday 22 : January. The whole opera has been 3 updated by Andrei Serban to the 19303 3 and set at the time of the Spanish Civil i War, telling the passionate tale of ; antagonism. rivalry and revenge ? between two brothers. Manrico and 3 Count di Luna. The story inspired one of Verdi‘s greatest scores, which includes the famous Anvil Chorus.
