Down the years Rotc Kapelle's awkward and idiosyncratic nature. and a nasty streak that shows upin their grittier guitar lines. has kept them together while others with more meteoric careers have come and gone. It's nice that the now-defunct lntape label has decided to put out their new single and album before turning out the lights for good. Rote Kapelle. it's said. may themselves split up soon. Arrive early for The Ilucksters. whose debut indie single was really rather good.

I always liked I Iis1.atest Flame‘s singles (and even the B-sides). but many illusions were shattered when I went to see them live. L'nbclievably that was nearly two years ago. Subsequently dropped by (io! Discs. they have shown resilience in continuing to gig - so maybe it is time forgive them for the (‘ardinal Folly show and try again. White have been around a long time. but recent shows have been among their best.
