David Home, a pupil at St MarY'S M0319 School in Edinburgh miss ed winning by a proverbial hair’s breadth, the BBC‘s Young Musician oi the Year Competition Forthose who

didn’t manage to hear his remarkable prowess on TV recently (and tor those who did), he can be heard three times in this coming fortnight (Saturday 25, Wednesday 29 and Friday 1), with the iirst concert also leaturing the iirst performance at his String Quartet. With direct honesty he says that recent weeks lollowing the competition have been ‘quite a turmoil in many respects, especially dealing with the sudden publicity’ and with a year coming up which otters a concert a week at times it’s understandable that he’s taking a year out for ‘experience of lite’.
