Weekend Carnival, Edinburgh Zoo Anyone arriving at Edinburgh Zoo wearing masks or costumes this weekend (23-24 July) will not be suspected of being an early arrival to the Festival Fringe. Rather it will allow hall price entry to the zoo as it will be celebrating its 75th anniversary with a host at special carnival style events.

For children especially it will be a weekend of tun and surprises with street

theatre events explaining ‘why penguins can'tin any more', clowns, puppets, pony rides, treasure hunts and monkey puzzles. Tempting parents there is a Peugot 405 to be won in the 75th Anniversary Appeal Prize Draw, and Radio Forth's Music Cruiserwill be broadcasting live from the zoo on both days. The event is sponsored by Batista Chocolate Bars and run in conjunction with Radio Forth.
