Despite the name this is not strictly and Acid House club. This year's hippest sound is featured strongly upstairs but total saturation is avoided due to the punters being happierto get down to the old stalwarts like James Brown and Rose Royce ratherthan anything uniamiliar- no matter how cool.
The fact that the club operates on
two floors has obvious
benefits in terms of scope, the basement providing a more relaxed atmosphere to balance the serious abandonment above
Certainly recommended it you‘ve any
interest at all in the broad ‘soul‘ area and bound to do very nicely thank you in the Festival. (Andy Crabb) Compiled by Julian and Angus.
