Wednesday may not be the best night for clubbing. but Expansions have built up a small band of enthusiastic followers with their sheer consistency in playing the latest and best in the respective genres. Well worth a visit. especially if you just want to dance!

Since the last review Breathless has managed not just to draw a good crowd but also to encompass more up to date club sounds. playing tracks from groups such as NWA. De la Soul and Lisa Stanfield. making this student club one ofthe bestof its kind. Maybe the fact that they have the cheapest bar prices in town has something to do with Breathless not losing its identity of also being fun.
I The Deep The Mission. 10.30pm—3am. £2. Fora club w hose playiist hasa reputation for being one of the best around. it‘s a shame that the Edinburgh clubgoers don‘t seem to support it more. The Deep is one ofth best clubsin Edinburgh during the week. so go down there and have a rave!

non-existent. A club like this needs intimate surroundings. but I'm afraid the Mayfair is as intimate as a breezy barn. The potential is there though.

Roxy‘s efforts seem to have succeeded - it was designer gear a go go. from Richmond to Westwood. Look ottt for the Flag Sisters and move to the sounds ofthe Dreadnought Hi Fi Sound system.
I Shag The Mission and Shady Ladies. 10.30pm-3am. £1 .50. Youthful (which isn‘t necessarily a bad thing) night on both floors of this venue. supplying easy dance sounds to a large if not tall crowd.
