Fndays

I Beatbox Teviot Debating Hall 9pm—2am. (Students and Guests only). FREE. Pseudo-trendy student disco playing the kind of slick, soul-boy fare that appeals to Edinburgh‘s sideburned fraternity. Downstairs however, in the intimate surroundings ofthe Park Room. another (better) club takes

place, featuring the relentless pulse of indie dance such as the Beloved.

I Dream The Mission. 10pm—3am. £3. Still run by the Slam and Dream crew, still mixing upfront house fusion, still full of kids in big white trainers. But. wait for it— they’ve got new flyers! And rather groovy they are too, in a lurid psychedelic sortof way. But it‘s a start. Seriously though. the only Friday dance club, and as such, worth a visit.

I Floral Riot Network 2. 10.30pm-4am. £2. Experience an indie explosion ofsonic flower grooves at what is currently Edinburgh‘s busiest club. Breathless continues not only to draw a good student crowd but also encompass-:s more up-to-date sounds. combining Prince. I Loaded The Mission. 10.30pm—3am. £2. See preview.

I Lite Shady Lady‘s. 9.30pm—2am. £2. Bit ofan unknown quantity this one. I'm afraid. but they do have the lnsipid Carpets cow on their flyers. so I'd hazard a guess at music with a Mancunian bias.
