FOOTBALL

Saturday 3

PREMIER LEAGUE I Dundee Utd v Celtic Tannadice Park. Tannadice Street. Dundee. 3pm. Astonishingly. some bookies are offering 20-] against United takingthe Championship. which must be worth a flutter especially as the odds could be shortened after today‘s result.

I Dunlermline V St Minen East End Park. Halbeath Road. Dunfermline. 3pm. Though Victor and his erstwhile chum from the Spanish League. Archibald. have made quite an impact since their arrival. the Saints have yet to register a win with

them in the side.

I Heanstberdeen T ynecastle Park. Gorgie Road. Edinburgh. 3pm. Always a close and frequently a dour encounter. Aberdeen will be determined to regain their brief hold on the lead.

I Motherwell v Hibernian Fir Park. Motherwell. 3pm.

I Rangers v St Johnstone lbrox Stadium. Glasgow. 3pm. This is the real test forthe surprising Saints who may see their hopes and ambitions fade in the shadow ofthe lbrox stands.

FIRST DIVISION

I Airdrie V Clyde Broomfield. Airdrie 3pm. Though both clubs are struggling. it‘sa matter of degree: Airdrie are finding it tough at the top. Clyde are mullingover life in the doldrums ofthe league.

I Kilmarnoclt v Dundee Rugby Park. Kilmarnock. 3pm. Arguably the two most ambitious clubs in the First Division. they certainly have the healthiest attendance figures. making today's fixture march of the day in the First Division.

I Meadowhank Thistle v Clydehank Meadowbank Stadium. London Road. Edinburgh. 3pm. Thistle should extend their recent run of good form.

I Particlt Thistle v Morton Firhill. Firhill Road. Glasgow. 3pm.

I Raith Rovers V Ayr Utd Stark's Park. Pratt Street. Kirkcaldy. 3pm.

Saturday 15

PREMIER LEAGUE

I Celtic v Dunlennline Celtic Park. Gallowgate. Glasgow. 3pm. The last two matches have been real testers for McNeill‘s team. and not ones that they have passed with flying colours. Although this should be a less arduous task for them. there is no guarantee they will complete it to Caesar's satisfaction.

I Hibernian v Dundee Utd Easter Road Stadium. Albion Road. Edinburgh. 3pm. United. this page‘s tip for the title.should take some stopping and a frail Ilibs side may not be the ones to do it.

I St Johnstone v Hearts McDiarmid Park. Perth. 3pm. Now that everyone isft’arlof going to McDiarmid Park. Jordan will be
