The Lemonheads are probably best known for those cover versions they‘re so fond of releasing. Singles both ‘Luka' and ‘Different Drum‘ were moderately successful this side of the water. incidentally. Captain America is Eugene Vaseline's latest alias. Note also the change ofvenue from the College Of Building And Printing.

Top were only a few gigs into theircareer but already experiencing hype overdrive. Anyone who has since seen them supporting fellow Scouse laddish types The Farm and The La's will realise the enthusiastic reception is justified. Pure indie pop with an unashamed commercial streak. as can be heard on the debutsingle ‘She's Got All The World‘.
