An immensely enjoyable club run by Fred. 1 Amanda and Neil ofThunderball fame. playing retrospective soul and funk in a central location; it‘s small. intimate and more like a party than any usual event; 3 and if you don‘t know where it‘s at then you shouldn't be there anyway. Okay? I Top Ten Club Moray House. 10pm—3am. £2. 25 May. Run by the awfully sweet g Sam. this occasional club has some ofthe , best posters in town. The music's not bad either. Worth checking out. I Fiulte Wee Red Bar. 10.30pm—3am. £1 .50. The first club to be run in this venue since the Sex Beat boys up and left. lndie. dance and rap they tell me. which seernsa fairly wide-ranging selection. The publicity certainly stands out from the usual SU stuff though. so might well prove more interesting than it initially sounds. I Bedrock Club The Venue. 9pm—4am. Increasingly popular upfront dance club. full of hip kids clad head to toe in Chipie. Chevignonet a]. Watch out for occasional live acts too. I Katch Shady Lady's. llpm-3am. £2. indie. indie and yet more indie music. attracting a motley assortment of mop-top student types. I Mambo Club Network 2 & 3. 10.30pm-3am. £2 members/£2.50 non members. Scotland‘s only regular world music club. which just gets busier and busier. Sir Ossie on the wheels ofsteel mixes the best in African dance with calypso and soca around the world stylee.
