OR EUROPEAN STUDIES

Two B.Eng Honours degree courses have recently been developed at Napier in Edinburgh for students who want a career in electronics incorporating a broader educational experience in Business Studies or Languages, suitable for the wider world of

Industry and Commerce.

The business-route is particularly suitable for students who, whilst maintaining a keen interest in the technology, want to develop skills related to the management, marketing and successful operation

ofindustrial companies.

The European route will provide language skills and background to the European industrial scene which will enable the student to consider a career working with Companies abroad or with

British Companies which operate in Europe.

Both courses include a 20 week work placement. For the European route this will be carried out abroad as part ofthe language education.

At the end of the first year the students can choose a bias in the Electronics studies in the direction ofeither Telecommunications or Information Technology two fast growing areas with ever
