Dinosaurs Alive Until 26 Jan. The exhibition that thrilled and terrified Edinburgh returns with giant dinosaurs roaring and swishing their tails against an authentic prehistoric background. Miss it at your peril.

Elements: Recent Work by Gillian Forbes and Alan Calms Mon 25 Nov-14 Dec. Works by two artists, from the Glasgow Sculpture Studios, who share a concern with ‘confrontational issues‘ and mankind’s perception of these events.

Madame Yevonde Until 12 Jan. A pioneering 19205 colour photographer, Madame Yevonde transformed her high-society subjects into ‘striking surreal goddesses’.

Art for Industry: The Glasgow Japan Exchange ot1878 Until 5 Jan. A testament to Glasgow‘s role in the 19th century modernisation of Japan, this exhibition includes some 200 items - ceramics, musical instruments, paper and fabrics- which were sent as a gift to Glasgow from the Japanese Government.

John Keane: Betore the War Until Sun 24 Nov. Best known as Official War Artist during the Gulf conflict, Keane‘s previous works express a concern for the people caught in conflicts that make world headlines.

The Hague School Until 5 Jan. Fifty works give voice to 19th century Dutch artists known as The Hague School. Including prints, drawings and watercolours by Blommers, Artz, the Maris brothers and Mauve.

Once a museum for the workingclasses. and now a fantastic repository for all sorts of ephemera connected with Glasgow’s history everything from old cigarette packets to suffragettes’ campaigning material.

No Pasaranl Until Mon 2 Dec. Banners, posters and memorabilia evoke the atmosphere of the Spanish Civil war in an exhibition which examines Glasgow‘s Trades Unions’ involvement in this and other ideological wars, in Chile, Nicaragua and South Africa.
