SUNDAY 8 Glasgow

I Gas Station King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. 272a St Vincent Street, 221 5279. Doors open 7pm, show starts 8.30pm. £4.50. King Tut‘s gives Scottish stand-up a much-needed break by providing a middle-scale venue, one size up from the pioneering Comic Club, but smaller than major-league places like the Pavilion. A regular weekly slot is planned into the New Year, with established London-circuit names being supported by the best of the local stand-ups. Tonight‘s headliner is the excellent Mark Thomas and he‘s joined by Fred McAulay and May & Fay. Should be a great night.
