I Fabulous and Radiohead King Tut‘s Wah Wah Hut. St Vincent Street. 221 5279. 9pm. £4. Legging it swiftly from Barrowland. Regular readers of the music press will be over-familiar with the inflammatory antics ofpunk resurrectionists Fabulous. a group fabricated largely from NMl-jemployees. who believe they can beat the music industry at its own game. However. if you're not a music press devotee. Fabulous will mean about as much to you as that bit of mouldy cheese in the larder a situation which won‘t change until they match their mouth with their music. Their recently-signed deal with PWL should do the trick.

I Pureland Subway. Cowgate. 225 6766.

1 m.

I The Lost Soul Band (TBC) Heriot-Watt Student Union. Riccarton Campus. 229 9311. Rootsy sounds from the Edinburgh band who recently signed a deal with Silvertone Records erstwhile home of The Stone Roses and still the label that puts out John Lee Hooker‘s records over here. Dippy trippy drippy hippy with fabsome and groovesque back catalogue and. hey. enough love and peace to go round everyone. although these days Donovan is fabled to walk with his feet touchingthe ground.
