To be responsible for Mayfest's Marketing campaign which includes Press and Publicity.

This is a senior position within the company and the successful applicant will be an experienced marketing professional with knowledge of brochure production, merchandising and advertising.

Salary in the first year will be £16,000 per annum with a contrbutory personal pension scheme available.

Can you write Press releases in crisp, lively style, work to tight deadlines, cope with seemingly endless enquiries from the media, compile in-depth features for our award-winning newspaper?

If you can do all that as well as research and write briefing and speech notes, produce copy for leaflets and brochures, work on your own initiative and at all

times remain unflappable you may be the person we need to join a hard-working, enthusiastic and highly professional team of Press officers in the Public Relations Department of Britain’s largest local authority.

You will already have newspaper or broadcasting experience and will be educated at least to Highers or A level standard. Knowledge of local government would be an advantage.

There is a car leasing system or mileage allowance available. Samples of recent work should be included with applications for the post.
