A Sub’Editor/Assistant Publicity Officer is required to work on the Strathclyder the Regional Council's

10 issues per year newspaper .

The successful candidate will he required to: Prepare editorial material for Strathclyder and other Regional Council publications, involving on—screen production and editing of copy for publication and onrscreen page layout to camera—ready stage.

A background in journalism or public relations is desirable, and experience of Apple Macintosh computers and of QuarkXpress or Pagemaker software would be an

advantage.

The successful candidate would also be required to undertake other duties associated with all aspects of the Regional Council's communications strategy.

Banff and Buchan District Council has a growing reputation throughout Scotland for the provision of arts activity opportunities.

We are now looking for a suitably experienced dynamic and self-motivated person as our next Arts and Events Development Officer. You will be responsible for developing an arts strategy. managing four Residencies, liaising with the Scottish Arts Council, budgeting and the programming of arts events. You will have excellent communication skills, a flair for motivation and an appreciation ofthe local culture and heritage of the North East of Scotland.

To maintain the vigour of this post the Council does not intend to employ anyone for more than four years. The Council Operates car loan and leasing facilities and will pay relocation expenses where appropriate.
