I Hustle at Level 8. Strathclyde University. 9pm-2am. £1 .50/£1. ‘Going back to go forward‘. a night of funky disco and club classics with Paul M and Eurojay.

I Jazz With Attitude at The l3th Note. 8pm—midnight. Free. A mixed bag of Acid

jazz and classic soul with DJ Steven Watt.

I Jerks at The Cathouse. Studio 3. 10.30pm—3am. £1. Popular night of grunge. punk and 60s garage.

I Sara’s Big Night Out at Club Xchange. A lighter Friday night vibe at this crammed gay 5 venue with DJ Sara Martinelli.

I Slat! at Club Loco at The Arches.

l lpm—3.30am. £6. Those famous Slam people return for a new year of top house tunes and doubtless a few more very special guests.

I Shag at Fury Murry‘s. l lpm—late. £3.50. A veritable legend among crappy student clubs. Love it or hate it. you‘re unlikely to leave it sober.

I Sonic The Indie Club at Rooftops (Secrets Lounge). 1 1pm—3am. £1.50 before

1 1.45pm/£2.50 after. Indie club (as you might imagine) with £1 pints of lager on tap. I Twister at RAFA Social Club. Ashley Street. 9pm—lam. £3/£2 before 10pm. 12 Feb only. Finally back. it's everyone's favourite mix of swinging 60s sounds. from golden soul to garage punk with plenty of psychedelic freakbeats and bubblegum pop in between. Unmissable!

I tinder Venture 8pm-midnight. Free. Funky rare grooves from clued-up duo Hamish and Jonnie in this new exclusively early evening venue. A highly recommended warm-up for a more energetic night out.

I Wax Factory at lndustria. 1 lpm—3.30am. £5/£3.50 concessions. A reasonable price on the door and an unreasonably good time to be had inside help to explain the rapidly increasing popularity of this Pussypower night; the addition of another DJ playing less up-tempo sounds in the ‘chill—out' area is also a major bonus. Get those memberships while you can!
