A double bill that won‘t exactly set the stage on fire. but can chisel wonderful atmospheric sounds out of chunks of dead air. Cranes are moving away from their sub-industrial depression to an almost summery strummery. while Slowdive’s new EP sees them retain the wimpy outlook but push melody further to the fore.
