The club which is definitely not small in any way. featuring the enormously huge Back to Basics boys Ralph Lawson and Huggy on 11 Jun. Please note. doors will open an hour earlier on that night to get the gigantically large crowd in in time. Oh. and promoter Big Gav tells us he expects it to be ‘massive’. The magnificent Goodfoot dance experience returns to the big time. with the first in a series of occasional. large-scale events. The music will be a selection of jazz. northern soul. Popular indie club also appearing in Edinburgh on a Saturday night. I Reds 10.30pm—3am. £3. Beck's and vodka £1/ all drinks £1 before midnight. ‘Chunky funk. deeliteful disco and groovy garage' which is proving so popular that they‘re opening half an hour earlier these days. I BB’S 8pm—midnight. Free. Sounds to drink and maybe even dance to. from DJ Kevin. I Slam at Club loco at The Arches. llpm—3.30am. £6. A serious night out with the Slam lads. featuring regular high calibre guests from down south. I Shag at Fury Murry‘s. lOpm-late. £4l£2 before 11pm. As crass as ever and now featuring a bonus hour at the beginning of the evening with £1 pints and music which the DJs tell us they couldn‘t get away with during the rest of the night. I Vibe, The Feeling at RG‘s. 8—midnight. Free. Pre-club pub with DJ K (Reds) playing a mixture of garage. hip-hop. disco and funk.

I The Volcano l 1pm—2.30am. £4/£3. Busy mix of dance and indie tunes with Alan Ronald.

I Wax Factory at lndustria.

l lpm-3.30am. £5/£3.50 concessions. The hardest house sound in Glasgow. brought to you every week by the famous Pussypower crew and their variously weird and wonderful special guests. Also featuring an exceptionally good atmosphere. courtesy of the least pretentious crowd in town.

I Divine at the Art School. 1 lpm—late. £2.50.The best in psychedelic/garage/ soul/60s in the Vic Bar. Vie for space on the teeming dancefloor orjust stand back and marvel at all those strange and beautiful people: a great time to be had either way.

I Dream Sequence at Rooftops (Secrets Lounge). 10.30pm—3am. £2.50. A good selection of indie-dance faves and a friendly vibe.

I Reds lO.30pm—3am. £6/£4(£3 before midnight). Relaxed. friendly and increasingly popular club night with DJ Kevin‘s wild mix of disco. funk and housey tunes.

I Revival Reggae! at The 13th Note. 8pm—midnight. £2. Treat yourself to an original Jamaican blues party - the coolest club sounds of the 60s in a sweaty bassment atmosphere.

I Strathclyde University Union 9pm—2am. £2.50. Students and guests only. Studenty feel to Level 8. very popular dance and techno in Reds.

I Atlantis at the Sub Club. 11pm—3.30am. £6. Still attracting a good (and discerning) crowd. Atlantis is Slam‘s longest-running and most successful regular night. Let yourselfsoak in the choicest. warmest house club in town.

I Shoosh at RG's. 8—midnight. Free. DJ Cristian playing a mix of dance. indie and house sounds to a very busy. mainly student crowd.

I Talkin’ loud, Saying Something upstairs at lndustria. l lpm-late. £4/£3. A new and expanding night with veteran DJ Tchico spinning Ragga. reggae. hip hop and a bit more besides. Queue to the left if

you don’t want to get caught up with the techno-heads downstairs.

I Plggilly Vigglliy‘s at the Volcano. lOpm—late. £2.50. Unfeasibly huge tunes from top DJ Sir Kev and a dedicated party crowd well. the part-timers just don‘t make it out on a Monday. do they?

I Fever at The 13th Note. Spin—midnight. Free. A pre-Shimmy warm-up with suitably cheery dance and indie tunes. And it‘s only about five yards' stagger to Bennet's!

I Moist at The Cathouse. l [pm-3am. 99p entrance and all drinks. ln-house DJ Craig playing everything from Christmas hymns to chart reggae. Indescribable really; you‘ve got to be there.

Wednesdays

I llorlzontal at The Volcano. llpm—2.30am. £3/£2. ‘Top Jazz. Rare Groove Exponent' (it says here) Nick Peacock doing his level best to spice up a Wednesday night in Partick.

I love Train at Cafe Cini. Renfield Street. 9pm-midnight. Free. Selected beers for £1. Joe Deacon playing the best in classic soul. funk and piano house.

I The Swamp at The Cathouse.

1 l pm—3am. £1. 1p more than Tuesdays here and probably proportionally more upmarket. A request night where anything can. and unfortunately will. be played.
