ARTISTIC CO-ORDINATOR (P/T, 17.5 Hrs/wk)

Must be a qualified artist with extensive experience of working with long-term unemployed and/or people with special needs, and of managing and assessing other artists.

ADMINISTRATOR (P/T, 17.5 Hrs/wk)

Must have minimum of three years experience in arts administration, experience in fund raising and publicity/marketing, and a commitment to

developing arts projects.

Banff & Buchan District Council

TRADITIONAL MUSICIAN IN RESIDENCE

6 month lnltlal contract: £14,106 pa

The successful candidate will join the arts residency team - a key part of the District Council's Arts Development Programme. This pilot project will have three basic objectives:

" to collect the traditional music heritage of Banff and Buchan and create a new, local archive of traditional music;

" to access archive recordings of Banff and Buchan musicians and establish a programme of archival releases; and

' to support traditional music in the community.

The successful candidate will have a thorough grounding in traditional music in performance and the bothy ballad tradition of the North East. Research and archival experience, and experience of working with the community organisations are essential.

BBC Radio Scotland

Radio Scotland is the BBC’s national radio station in Scotland. The station is currently experiencing an exciting period of development and change, creating an authoritative and challenging speech based schedule with complimentary music programming on an alternative frequency.

The Presentation Announcers operate Radio Scotland’s continuity studios and are required to take complete control of the output. In their role as news readers and announcers they establish the voice of the station and play an important part in the promotion of its programmes.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an awareness of Presentation’s role, editorial maturity and the ability to perform calmly under pressure whilst operating a wide range of production equipment. A versatile microphone voice and the ability to write creative and imaginative scripts are essential qualities. Previous operational experience in either television or radio is desirable.

One post is available on a fixed term contract. Opportunities also exist for relief work on a casual basis.

Salary: £15,959 - $26,072 pa. plus an allowance of 53,176 pa.
