(£6). The Society of Musicians' financial difficulties are now becoming very serious indeed. and this concert is a fund-raising event to help out. The shrinking membership base as the orchestras and big bands have disappeared has not been replaced by adequate public support for one of the most acoustically pleasing venues in town. and both audience backing and institutional funding is urgently required. not only for this concert along the road in the Moir Hall. but for the Society's own regular promotions. Even if it was not in such a good cause. this concert would be worth hearing. with Polish trumpeter Warren Vache joined by

American trombonist George Masso and a 3

trio of Sandy Taylor (piano). Ricky Steele (bass) and Tony McLennan (drums). Please give your support. and enjoy some fine mainstream jazz in the process.
