Archive/Film Researcher

Gaelic & Features

A specialist archive/ film researcher is required for a period of 6 months from January to work on the second series of BBC Scotland’s network children’s programme F.0.T.

Applicants must have sound editorial judgement and experience of accessing and transferring multi-format material. It will be advantageous if this experience has been gained in the fields of comedy or light entertainment.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, imaginative, and must possess a good sense of humour. He or she will have an important role within the production team and will be expected to contribute ideas for the programme.

Although the production will be based in Glasgow, it is likely that the archive/film researcher will spend a reasonable amount of time working in London.

Salary £14,494 - £20,583 pa plus an unconsolidated allowance of 51,588 pa. Based Glasgow.

Radio Scotland is looking for a Finance/Administration Assistant, initially for 6 months to collate and monitor financial information for the Business Unit Manager, and to provide secretarial, administrative and financial services to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra management and music department.

You must have an understanding of financial routines, gained from experience in a financial environment, and a knowledge of spreadsheets preferably EXCEL.

Good keyboard skills, an organised methodical and versatile approach, together with the ability and confidence to deal with people at all levels, are essential.

You should also have an interest in classical music, and be familiar with the output of Radio Scotland. '

Offered as a six month contract. Salary 39,725 - £11,893 pa. Based Glasgow. (Ref: 13770/H)
