Neighbours Talking (1860) by Daumier is on show at Treasures from the Mesdag Collection at the

National Gallery, Edinbugh. The collection was built up by Hendrik Willem Mesdag in the mid-to- late 19th century and is the largest collection oi realist landscape paintings held outside France.
