Australia
An easy country for inexperienced travellers to find their way around because there are so many others doing the same thing. Allow up to £35011 month but it can be done significantly cheaper. particularly if you take a tent. You can buy coach and rail passes that give unlimited travel — a 30-day rail pass costs around £350. Internal airfares are cheap. for example Melbourne to Sydney costs around £60. and there are special deals for travellers. Splitting the cost of an old car to tour is also a popular option.
India
India seems to a country that provokes an extreme response from travellers — they either love it or hate. The poverty. squalor and infuriating red tape freaks some people out while others who manage to adjust talk of a ‘magical‘ experience. It‘s one ofthe cheapest places to travel. with a monthly budget of £200 or less covering a basic existence. Rail travel is cheap with a
three stopovers, or unlimited travel if ; you pay more.
