Billed as ‘Monsters Of Rock 11’. this tour actually features three small-budget bands from the American underground. Virginia’s Tsunami take a turn away from ‘cute and shimmery‘ to more introspective. complex material; their state-mates Eggs deserve credit for confessing that their “overindulgent‘ new double album would have been better as a single; and Thurston and Lee from Sonic Youth gave Rodan’s most recent single a decisive thumbs-up. Say no more.
