Great cast at the otrtset of their careers (Phoebe Cates is also in there) have fun with Cameron (Sing/ex) (‘r'owe's script and its consistently funny observations on high school life. Penn is particularly good: check him out as he sits in class. ordering pizza ‘learning about Cuba. having some food'. Edinburgh: l-‘ilmhouse.

I Fearless (15) (Peter Weir. LTS. I993) Jeff Bridges. Isabella Rossellini. Rosie Perez. 122 mins. Convinced of his own immortality after surviving a horrendous plane crash. Max Klein's reaction to his near-death experience has a metaphysical bent reminiscent of director Peter Weir‘s early work. Bridges is magnificent as his character reassesses the details of daily living. bringing pain to his family and hope to fellow survivors. lidinburgh: L'CI East Kilbride.

Everywhere. people have had to adjust: an unemployed alcoholic professor takes over a tyre workshop; a woman doctor tries to preserve a htrman embryo in the body of its dead mother. An exaggerated

Troche's film bustles with visual invention. deliciously catty dialogue and natural performances.
