Summer Entertainments Programme Seasonal Assistants (Two Posts) 26 June - 18 August 1 995

East Lothian is predominantly a rural area with coastal sites attracting a significant number oi visitors. As part oi the Summer Entertainments Programme two Assistants will be required to co-ordinate a programme oi activities throughout the area such as treasure hunts, sand castle competitions, games and events ior children aged 6 - 12 years.

You should have experience oi working with children and

supervising play activities. A knowledge oi the area is desirable.

Working week will be 35 hours, Monday to Friday and your rate oi pay £3.76 per hour.

Volunteers are required to help run our two main summer pro- jects. Training and expenses will be given.

The Summer playscheme is held at Leith Academy from 3rd July until 2 lst July for children aged between 5 years and 12 years with special needs.

The Leisurescheme which is based at the Calton Centre in Montgomery Street runs from 3 lst July until 18th August and is specially for young people aged between 12 years and 20 years with learning disabilities.
