Twitch and Brainstorm orchestrate a gorgeous sweep through Detroit and Chicago at this, one of Scotland's top techno institutions. Excellent guests from the electronic cutting edge, gifted residents and a sweaty, devoted crowd make this club still kick.

Scotland's most furious and innovative hardbeat night continues to weld raw Chicago house, white noise and metallic techno into a coruscating aural assault every other Friday. Massive Bereavement control the underground electronic side, whilst Thee Process meld gentle dub ambient to chill to. Four sound systems, art installations. live MCs and percussion. As ever. don't miss the drummers! 16 June, Unit Moebius (Disko 8 artist) playing live. Watch out for Mike Dearboume, hard house‘s most wanted in the near future. Members and guests only. Proving itself to be the East Coast’s wildest, coolest and sweatiest gay night by far. Maggie and Alan manipulate the turntables into a veritable frenzy of house ’n' garage funkin’ bliss whilst the crowd prove effortlessly that no one (not New York. not San Francisco) can party as hard as the Scots. packed out with wild and shameless disco lovers.

I Stripped at La Belle Angele. _ llpm—3am. £5. 24 June. Fortnightly with Yip Yap. Deep house, soulful vocal garage and the odd handbag anthem fused gloriously by residents Zammo and Kris Keegan. Discerning, stylish crowd and occasional guest jocks - no surprise it's selling out every week. Fierce.

I Teasago at The Citrus. llpm—4am. £3. 2am curfew. Happy Hour: all drinks £1. Popular indie dance night. DJs Sarah and Niall jam a superb selection of punk, disco, 805 and funk for a friendly, student- dominated crowd.

I Tribal Funktion at The Venue. llpm—3am. £5. 24 June. Fortnightly. Minimal Chicago and tribal New York rhythms upstairs. Blunted hip hop downstairs and light, imaginative decor. Excellent guests, usually of a house/hard house persuasion. Return visits from George Morel and The Stickmen are forthcoming (anyone with a copy of the new George Morel album should know how much he enjoyed playing the club). I Yip Yap at La Belle Angele. llpm-3am. £5. 17 June. Fortnightly. Spiritually uplifting house, depth- plumbing garage: you really have to visit this club to realise why it’s still one of the best nights in the whole of Scotland. Divas, pianos, delicious, tuneful highs, superlative mixing from Gareth and David and a crowd who know how to rock it! What more could you ask for?
