A vacacy exists with the Community Halls Section of the Recreation department for a Halls Officer (under review) to supervise the efficient running of Edinburgh District Council's local venues - Portobello Town Hall, Church Hill Theatre, The Ross Theatre. Roseberry Hall, South Queensferry, Thomas Morton Hall and Leith Theatre.

The successful candidate will have have had previous managerial responsibility supervising staff and dealing directly with the general public. Applicants must be effective communicators, have proven organisational skills and be able to work on their own initiative without direct supervision. The Halls Officer must possess the ability to motivate a team offering direction to staff to improve the service offered to our customers. Applicants should therefore have a commitment to a high level of customer care to Halls users.
