Racial Equality Development

Officer Glasgow or Edinburgh (Ref neoor) Salary £18,180 - £19,842.

We are keen to recruit a person with experience both of networking ill the voluntary sector and of community development in the black and minority ethnic communities. to promote racial equality in the Scottish voluntary sector. Candidates must he able to work independently and have an ability to foster partnerships to improve good practice in the voluntary sector; to strengthen the black led voluntary sector and to incorporate racial equality into other SCVO activities.

Project Development Officer

Glasgow (Ref PD02) Salary £18,180 - £19,842.

Candidates must have the capacity to identify and develop new initiatives with a range of voluntary and public sector agencies. working across the voluntary sectors policy interests. The post-holder will undertake generic development \\ or‘k in addition to supporting specific pr‘oiects within SCVO's l'Iuropean i'nit.

Training Development Officer

Edinburgh (Ref T003) Salary £18,180 - £19,842.

Working ill a busy training depattlllent. this is a challenging position providing a range of generic voluntary sector training programmes," illitiatit es. The focus of the post is on developing and arranging the delivery of training to a \\ ide range of voluntary sector participants. Knowledge of the training en\ ir'onnlent. project management skills and a flexible approach are also necessary.

Working as an ili(i(‘-(i(‘-(‘Eiliiil to senior S(I\'( l staff. you will he expected to have a good knowledge of social policy and the issues facing Scotland's voluntary sector. excellent communication skills and the capacity to manage a complex and tuned

portfolio of tasks.

BUDDY SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR

Waverle Care Trust is a charity providin care and support or people livin with HIV and AIDS. Fts two main proyects are Mr estone ouse. a hospice; and SOLAS. a support and information centre.

Funding is available. for one year in the first inst- ance. to develop a buddying service to support individuals wrth HIV and AIDS. Your job will be to recruit. train, select. deploy and manafle up to 35 buddy volunteers. To be successful you wi need to have experience of working with volunteers. assessing needs. an understanding of the assugs concerning HIV and AIDS and the ability to work exr y.
