Fronta (The New Front Theatre Of St Petersburg) mixing punk. pop. acrobatics. clowning. ballet. butoh and pantomime in a prophecy-laden production about the future of Russia. Diary Di A Madman Tue 24/Wed 25 Sept. 8pm. £5 (£4). KYBO Theatre Company with a mad kind of a show. transferring Gogol‘s classic comedy tale of the Russian clerk. the boss's daughter and his puppy from the 19th century to 43 April (sic) in the year 2000.

I The International Workshop Festival Mandala Theatre Workshop Sun 22-Fri 27 Sept. 9am—9pm. £125. The nationwide festival of international workshops exploring the art and science of movement kicks off its Glasgow arm with this six-day workshop from founder members of Poland's celebrated Mandala Theatre. Director Katarzyna Deszcz and actor/director/designer Andrezej Sadowiski’s methods concentrate on the actor and their relationship with other performers. place and objects.

Mandala Theatre Perionnance Thurs 26—Fri 27 Sept. 8pm (till 8pm Fri 27). Free. There's nothing like taking your art seriously. Participants frotn six days of workshops with this innovative Polish theatre company round off the week with a 24. yes. 24-hour-long performance. in which the audience are encouraged to become part of the action. Anatoly Vasiiliev Tue 24 Sept. 7.30pm. £3 (£1). Vasilliev, who hails from the School Of Dramatic Art in Moscow. is guest speaker in the first of two international Workshop Festival talks hosted by Poland‘s Mandala Theatre.

Cennady Bogdanov Wed 25 Sept. 7.30pm. £3 (£1). The last of the Workshop Festival talks from Mandala Theatre features this leading practitioner from the Russian School Of Dramatic Art whose unusual method of training is based round biomechanics.

This is the last date on their Scottish tour before they head for London.
