I Phar but at Glasgow School 'of Art. 10pm—2.30am. £3. Deep dub and drum and bass. Resident DJ Paul Cawley is joined every week by guest Dis. 4 Oct: the Ninja Tune tour touches down with The Herbalizer. DJ Food. Strictly Kev and DJ Vadim. £8 (£6).

I Pure at Bennets. 11.30pm—3am. £4 (£3). Grant Duff with an upbeat dance night which couldn't be more removed from the Edinburgh club of the same name. Gay.

I Radio City in The Attic. 10.30pm—3am. £3 (£2). The original retro club. playing Stax. Motown. Stones. The Who and other classic sounds from the 60s and early 70s.

I liadiltal Rhythm at The Dark Room (Strathclyde University Union). 10pm—3am. £4 (£3) Students plus up to four guests. Night hosted by different DJs rotating each month. 4 Oct: underground eclectic dance meisters Rub :1 Dub take the first night this issue featuring Matt ‘Herbert' Herbert. 11 Oct: Ground Control are the hosts featuring drum and bass queens Kemistry and Storm.

I llomp at Archaos. 1 1pm—3.30am. £5 (£4). Big tune party night in this massive venue playing an Essential Selection kinda spread from DJs Geoff. Jason and Mabauzza.

I liuh a Dub at Blackfriars Underground. 8.30pm—midnight. Free. R.A.D. with static pre-club vibes.

I Shag at Fury Murry's. 11pm—3am. £4 (£3). Across-the-board mix of party choons with James G.

I Slam at The Arches. 10.30pm—3am. £7. World famous DJ and production duo Stuart and Orde together providing the best in deep electronic dance. Considered to be by far the best of its type in Scotland. if not the whole country. Continues to win awards from all quarters. 4 Oct: lan Pooley (Force inc) and Larz (Funk D‘Void) guest.

I Sub Club The Sub Club tenth birthday weekend and they’re the ones giving us the presents. Joining the residents through the week are Claude Young at Red Cell on Thursday. Timeless featuring the Metalhcadz DJs on Friday and the mighty Juan Atkins on Saturday night. Sub Club. Thurs IO-Sar 12 Oct.

I Pliar but Last issue we were treated to the Psychonauts on four decks and this issue DJ Food gets the four wheel drive going too. Deep dub and hip hop drutn ’n' bass as the Ninja Tunes tour stops off in Glasgow featuring The Herbalizer with a full live set. Food. Strictly Kev and DJ Vadim. I Colours When played head to head with Cream over the Glasgow September weekend. Streetrave’s Colours pushed all the right buttons as professionally as the Liverpool superclub. Epic queues, celebrity promoters and merchandising. Is this the emergence of the Scottish superclub? October’s guests are Terry Farley and Pete Heller of Junior Boys Own joining the residents. The Arches. Saturday 12 Oct and monthly.

I Fridays at the Asylum This sorely under-used venue is going up in the kudos stakes as four new nights take up the rotational residency. First up on 4 Oct are the Glasgow hard housers Cool Lemon with Paterson and Price. Edinburgh’s highly successful Yip Yap take a shot on the 11 Oct featuring Gareth Somerville and Kevin McKay.
