Arts Development Officer

We require a creative and dynamic Arts Development Officer to research, draft and implement an arts strategy for East Fienfrewshire. taking into account the arts’ role in assisting the process of urban regeneration. It will involve liaising with the voluntary and professional arts sectors, and working with other services and agencies.

You should be educated to degree level, possess excellent communication skills, have at least three year’s experience in arts development, preferably including involvement with more than one art- lorm. You should possess the necessary strategic skills, and ideally have had previous involvement in preparing an arts strategy.

Head of Information Technology Services

Applications are invited for the post of Head of Information Technology Services at the Royal Museum of Scotland, Chambers Street, Edinburgh.

The duties of the successful candidate include:

° The development of an overall IT strategy for NMS including protocols and working practices

Provision of advice on procurement of IT equipment etc

Management of the operation of centrally provided IT systems and public applications

Provision of technical support of the existing QUDGS system and assisting with the implementation of the transfer of the Collections database to Multi-Mimsy

Provision of advice on the application of IT to assist administrative functions

Maintenance of the internal communications network and planning its extension and development

Provision of technical support for IT projects currently being developed, including: NMS on the Worldwide Web; IT based public orientation system; and accessible collection information via the MOSAICS system.

You should normaliy have a relevant degree with up-to-date IT knowledge and have experience in developing strategies for and managing IT services in an organisation of slrniiar size and complexity.

The starting salary for the post which is currently graded Senior Executive Ofiicer will be, subject to qualifications and experience, between 819,215 and 821,932. Further increases to 825.289 sublect to performance. The Pay and Grading structure Mthin NMS is currently under review.
