I Parklife at The Arena. l().30pm—3am. £4 (£3). Glasgow‘s first and foremost Britpop night playing classic dance/pop/indie/retro/soul sounds from the 60s to the 90s. Drinks promos all night.

I Phar Out at Glasgow School Of Art. l()pin—2.3()am. £3. Deep dub and drtun ’n' bass. Resident DJ Paul Cawley is joined every week by guest DJs.

I Pure at Bennet‘s. l l.3()pm—3am. £4 (£3). Grant Duff with an upbeat dance night. Gay.

I Pure at The Sub Club. llpm—3am. £7 (£6 Pure members). l8 Apr and every two months. Despite DJing at the Subbie on a Thursday and Sunday. Twitch has never held an out and out techno groove Pure (Edinburgh) night at this venue. So here it is. in all its glory. featuring Twitch. Dribbler and a classical string quartet for the first 45 minutes.

I Radio City in The Attic. l().3()pm—3am. £3 (£2). The original retro club. playing Star. Motown. Stones. The Who etc.

I Radikal Rhythm at The Dark Room (Strathclyde University Student Union). l()pm—3am. £4 (£3). Students plus tip to four guests. Hard house/techno night hosted by different DJs rotating each month.

I Rapt at The Apartment. l lpm—3am. £8. Graeme Wilson playing swing. hip hop and funk in this stylish club for stylish people.

I Reds I lpm—3am. £5 (£3 for students before midnight). Easy-going mix of disco. funk and contemporary chart dance.

I Reform at R.G.'s. Rpm—midnight. Free. Tosh and guests for drum 'n' bass.

hip hop. dub and reggae. Pre-club.

I Shag at Fury Murry‘s. llpm--3.l5am. £4 (£3). The sexiest. cheesiest tunes ever from Mark and James G.

I Slam at The Arches. l().3()pni-3am. £7. World famous DJ and production dtlo Stuart and ()rde providing the best in deep electronic dance for an tip-for-it capacity crowd every week. 18 Apr. Billy Scurry from Temple of Sound. Dublin guests. 25 Apr. lain Pooley of Force Inc plus Huggy from Back to Basics.

I Tangent at Sub Club. llpm—3am. £8 (£6). 25 Apr and fortnightly. Funky techno pitch shifters Tangent and their merry band of followers continue to prove there is life and soul in techno. Tonight they welcome their first guest in a while. DJ Harvey who used to play at The Ministry before getting too cool for them.

I Up Yer Ronson at Archaos. llpm—4an). £6 (£4). IS Apr only. Roaming club runners back again. featuring a Mir/nae party with DJ Disciple (US). Marsall (Manchester) and Stevie Middleton ofGlasgow's hugely respected Sole Music. Dowstairs in Betty's find PFM of Logical Progression and Scotland's KMC cutting it tip drum 'n' bass style.

I Urban Sole Tilt Pan Alley. llpm—3am. £6. 18 Apr only. l-idinburgh‘s top garage DJ Craig Smith. just back from playing a phenomenal set at London’s Garage City. welcomes Chicago bloke Gemini to this increasingly popular night. Nick Peacock and Iain Henderson on lloor one with Back to Jazz. real underground dance jazz. See llitlist.

I Velvet Rooms lupin-3am. £5. Alan Ronald in Room Two with an open mix from house anthems and disco to Britpop and soul. Martin llesketh in Room ()ne playing mellow hip hop. swingbeat and classic soul.

I What's Your Function at Tin l’an Alley (floor two). l lpm--3am. £5. 25 Apr. Fortnightly. J’ilkes and Hatch of Knucklehead fame continue to expand their empire with this night of techno bass. Chicago house and minimal Detroit techno and electro. Darren Price nfrom Novamute/Underwater Records guesting.

Slam Firm favourites Iain Pooley of Force Inc Records and Huggy from Back to Basics guest at Slam taking Stuart and Orde’s place while they're out and about.
