Battle Of Stirling Bridge 700th Anniversary Various venues. info: (H786 401297. Until Oct 9. September sees the 700th anniversary of William Wallace's victory at Stirling Bridge. The series of events and exhibitions in and around Stirling will reach a fevered height on the actual anniversary date. ll September. A mix of sport. colour. music. theatre. noise and ftiii will conclude with an outdoor spectacular and a stunning new exhibition exploring the legend of Wallace. Top event of the fortnight occurs today with Beltane. where music. spectacle. pyrotechnics and performers w ill provide a spectacular climax to an evening which starts at Stirling Bridge at S. l5pm.

Pony For The Weekend Kelburn Castle and Country Centre. info: (ll-175 568544. ‘lam 5pm. £30. |)esigned for beginners and novice riders. this course offers a chance to learn basic horse care from grooming and feeding to the less delicate task of mucking out. There is also aii hour and a half riding each day along Kelburii's scenic private roads.

The first in a series of roadshows through which the V80 are launching a campaign to offer people the chance to find otit more about life abroad.
