the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and presenter/conductor Robert Dean invite younger listeners along to an ‘Extravaganza ltaliana‘. Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Boccherini‘s Minuetto and an excerpt from Mendelssohn‘s Italian Symphony combine with opera favourites by Puccini and Rossini for an irresistible dish. There'll be live music in the foyer before the concert and. afterwards. the musicians and conductor will be on hand to take questions.

Saxophonist Andrew McNeill and soprano Sarah Fox (winner of the 1997 Kathleen Ferrier Prize) are two emerging talents who are generating tnuch excitement on the musical scene at the moment. They join the ensemble for a programme that combines varied works from the saxophone repertoire with cabaret-style songs. Composers featured include Debussy. Webern. Schbnberg and Satie.
