SINGLES

'Mystical Realms':1.Tl Bukem (Good Looking Records)

Three quality tracks to choose from; the ten minute long, ambient-intro‘d ‘Twilight Voyage', 'Orchestral Jam' with MC Conrad providing a full vocal or, my favourite, an atmospheric downtempo outing called - suitably - 'Journey inwards'.

'Two Flsted SmokeIChasing The Sun': nick Preston (Glasgow Underground

Recordings)

Deep, instrumental house from new Glasgow Underground signing Rick Preston. Two tracks, one tougher than the other; twenty minutes of wild keys, acoustic guitars, crisp hi hats, jazzy touches and fat bass lines.

’This is W: State Of Mind (Sound Of Ministry)

LARGE anthem alert. Big vocal following in the footsteps of Ultra Nate. Straight garage mixes from M&S sound dated and dull next to fresh raw vibe of those by MJ

Cole and Nu Birth. Gonna be big. 'New Ground’: Percy x (Soma)

Fierce dancefloor techno on the A side with a nice midtempo breakbeaty affair on the flip to counteract the harshness. Also with more minimal techno offering.

‘I Want To Talk’: Maurice Fulton (Pagan)

Typical Pagan quality deepness with weird vocodered male vocal. Comes with clean, funky original mix, darker. bassy DJ 0 mix and slightly deeper Xpress 2 mix.

'Revoiution 909': Daft Punk (Virgin)

Roger Sanchez and Junior Sanchez tuffen up this Daft Punk album track to good affect with hard beats, razor sharp hi hats and a dark vocal. Then it goes all disco. Daft Punk original on the A side. Plus handy acapella.

‘Frantic': Finitribe (infectious)

Hectic drum ’n' bass with familiar electronic edge followed by dark downtempo Cut La Roq remix weirdness on A side; distorted drum ‘n’ bass remix and better

midtempo breakbeat treatment on AA side. 'iloney Fails’: New Phunk Theory (Paper)

Lengthy ldjut Boys-style meanderings (live instruments, jazzy touches etc . . .) on A side, backed by much better, funkier flip with one funky beauty ('Honey Lakes‘) and a harder, peak time cracker (’We Are Coming').

Hesketh in Room ()ne playing tnellow hip hop. swingbeat and classic soul. All drinks £1.
