Piles of trouble

AFTER READING YOUR interview with ‘comedlan' Jerry Sadowitz (Issue 326), I decided to watch his new Channel 5 chat show. The man’s self-image obviously needs to be improved, and if my contribution to his viewing figures can help with that, then I'm very glad.

But I can assure you right now that I shall never again sit through his Sick, tasteless brand of comedy. Such excessive foul language IS not what we could have expected from the channel that gave us Kirsty Young. And as for the faith healer who was forced to massage his buttocks as a treatment for haemorrhoids, well, I was almost phy5lcally sick!

I'll be sticking with Michael Parkinson in future. Jerry Sadowitz is an abhorrent indiVlduaI.

ICOULDN’T HELP but feel very sorry for your writer Jonathan Trew, having read his ’Gatecrasher‘ article (Issue 326) about attending a singles night at Hadrian's restaurant. It's hard to believe that such an eloquent bloke has much trouble finding dates, and the accompanying photo certainly suggests he has no touch of the Elephant Man about him.

However, his assertion that ’I feel as though many of the conventional avenues for finding a partner are closing to me' is one that will ring true for many thirtysomethings like myself who just can't seem to get settled with a partner, no matter how much we'd like to. I would suggest, however, that

Jonathan Trew would have more Edinburgh romantic SUCCESS if he didn’t “39 Up Primal Scream; extreme measures ' _______’____-_____.--_-.—__._—-—---- —— ---"*l' 1 his la§k 0f "1009M la“ and While it is true that Primal Scream are cases, and expanded upon them on CONSCIOUSneSS '0 pllnt.
