experience.

Visit the Edinburgh International Festival and discover a world where the human body takes on extraordinary forms and shapes that move in fantastic ways. Pacific Northwest Ballet, one of America’s most lauded classical ballet companies, will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Choreographed by George Balanchine and based on Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, this production has never before been seen in Britain.

You can also enjoy a season of works by Hans van Manen, one of the 20th Century’s most influential choreographers. Dutch National Ballet, one of Europe’s top classical ballet companies, will present two glorious programmes. The first features some of van Manen’s most spectacular work for the full company, which will be

accompanied by the Scottish

Royal National Orchestra and a live Argentinian

tango band. The second will present more

intimate work, exploring the interplay of human relationships. The combined forces of the Nederlands Dans Theater II and III complete the retrospective with a fabulous programme, including a world premier of new work.

For a free brochure and to book tickets, call the Box Office on 0131 473 2000. It’s the best exercise there is for

stretching the imagination.
