‘lntervention' — the fashion event of Glasgow. UK City of Architecture and Design 1999 — is a unique platform for ficottish designers, focusing on club culture. They are currently Welcoming applications for a Fashion Competition and the Young Designers fihowcase. Entrants for the Fashion Competition should supply one sketch design on the theme of 'Winter Blues’ or ’Too Hot Tc Touch' adding a short written statement explaining their response within the context of club culture. The Young Designers Qhowcase is, appropriately enough, looking for young designers working in Scotland or with ficottish Connections. Applicants must supply two images from their collection, a short statement about their work and relevant information concerning their professional and collection history. Glaswegian designers Angryharlots are showcasing some of their work on Fri 4 Dec from 10.30pm at the house club Cruel Violet at Betty’s Mayonnaise.
