The new wunderkind of London’s Trade, described by the late Tony De Vit as

afi-‘Jf‘t % 243i. ‘; “3. .l N

having ’An amazing ear for music' tells us what Trade means to him.

'Trade is all about the DJs that play there, the music they play there is so fresh. You’ll hear stuff being played at Trade that won't get heard at other clubs for at least a month. All the DJs have their own individual style: Malcolm plays his tribal, me and Alan play harder edged while Pete and Iain play the Hi- NRG stuff. It's like a journey from when you walk into the door.

'l've wanted to be a DJ since I was about twelve. I first went to a club when l was fourteen, getting into Kelly's in Portrush with my DJ friend Robbie Nelson and standing on milk crates to reach the decks. After that, all I ever wanted to

do was be a DJ.’ (Rory Weller)
