I Drum 8: Bass at Bar 10. 7pm—late. Free. Weekly. As the name suggests, it’s d&b all the way at the city centre style bar.

I Edward's at Edward’s. 9pm—midnight. Free. Weekly. Keith Pyper with the latest Clubland has to offer.

I Free Party Power at The Living Room. 9pm—midnight. Free. Weekly. Quality underground house action, spiced up with a bit of skewed disco.

I Nomad at Nomad. 7.30pm-midnight. Free. Weekly. New pre-club with resident ‘Donut’ Jay joined by Kris Keegan, Ian Thompson and AJ spinning the best house sounds.

I Pousey Cafe at Air Organic. 8—11pm. Free. Weekly. Shifting up a gear after the move from Sun nights, the Jengaheads get you stoked up for a night out with a mixed bag of beats, from electro through to house.

I Phatboy’s Kitchen at McChuill’s Way Out West. 8pm—midnight. Free. Weekly. Hip hop, breaks and beats courtesy of G Man and The Wax Monkey.

I Virunga at Brel. 9pm—midnight. Free. Weekly. A top selection of tunes with a world bias, including soca, Latin dance, African sounds and reggae.

I 1210 at Babaza. 8pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Top notch house, garage and trance from Ian Thompson and David Gilmore, renowned for keeping the crowd on their toes and dropping the odd surprise track. In a bid to encourage new talent, the residents step down between 8—11pm, turning over the Technics to up- and-coming DJs. Call the club on 204 0101 for details of how to participate.

I Casino Royale at The Apartment. llpm—3am. £4. Weekly. Bossa nova beats, Hammond grooves, soundtracks and loungecore from your hosts Frankie Savaloy and Kirk St Moritz. Additional entertainment value added by the Bedazzled comedy collective and Monty Cantsin of Beat Room fame.

I Columbian at The Asylum Back Room. 8pm—1am. £1 (free to CUSU members). Weekly. Music with breaks, from hip h0p and big beat to soul and funk.

I Cop at Archaos. 11pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Absolutely colossal student night with Vance and CJ supplying hard partying house anthemics in the main room and daft classics from Tam Coyle downstairs.

I Dazed 8: Confused at Qudos (Queen Margaret Student Union). 7.30pm-2am. £2 (£1)- students and up to four guests. Weekly. Live music every week from aspiring local talent until around 10.30pm, when the residents take over, spinning a retro set encompassing funk, soundtracks and indie classics.

I Freedom at The Shed. 10pm—3am. £3 (£2). Weekly. Paul N’Jie with a smooth mix of garage, funk and commercial house.

I Pimp at Planet Peach. 11pm—3am. £4. Weekly. Steve Gaston pumps out the funkiest disco and lightens the blend with the occasional kitsch classic.

I G.M.T. at Bonkers. 11pm—3am. £3. Weekly. Live music, naff student tunes and absolutely ludicrous drinks promos make for a fun night out, of sorts.

I Go Bang at Reds. 11pm-3am. £3. Weekly. GK Machine, Glenn C, Jay Hay and Guy spin a varied techno selection. I Hi Karate at The Glasgow School of Art. 10pm—2am. Free before 11pm; £1.50 (£1) after. Weekly. Andrew Divine and Neil McMillan get dirty with ragga, hip hop, two-step, electro and whatever else takes their fancy, all shot through with a serious dose of the funk. 6 Apr sees a guest appearance from Mushroom of Massive Attack.

I MFI at Universe (Coatbridge). 11pm—2.30am. £4 (£2). Weekly. Big telly man Ewan MacLeod and DJ Bob with a discootinged selection of house old and new.

I Rhythm And Blues at Life. 10pm—3am. £5. Weekly. The newest and prettiest addition to the Glasgow club scene, Life continues to impress with a night of top-notch R&B with Paul Traynor (Babaza) joined by Naeem and Stuart McCallum.

I Salsa Sabrosa at Havana. 10.30pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Top- notch Latin sounds, with all hip-shaking genres covered thanks to residents Keith, Alexis and Geo D.

I Skint at The Cathouse. 11pm—3am. £4 (£2). Weekly. Tough chemical breaks and beats, rock and indie for a studenty crowd.

I Sltycop at Skybar (Archaos). 11.45pm-3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. The posh bit of Archaos thrills to the deep house stylings of Ryan Kerr as the regular student night packs them in downstairs. I Specia Favours at The Glasgow School of Art (Vic Bar). 10pm-2am. £1. Weekly. An evening from the self- proclaimed ‘goddesses of sound’ DJ Mingo-go and LJT Bosom, who promise to provide everything from naff pop to cheesy beats via sleazy electro.

I Thursday Is Enough at Club Budda. 11pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Disco and house from Stevie Smith.

I Tune! at g2. 11pm-3am. Free entry before 11pm; £3 (£2) after. Weekly.

Simon Morrison and Andy Horn select brand new house and trance, plus Ibiza favourites to jog the memory.

I Tunnel Thursdays at The Tunnel. 11pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Tunnel regulars Kevin McFarlane and Scott Mackay, plus Lisa Littlewood in Room 'I\vo, spin house for a dressed up crowd of students.

I Upfront at The Asylum. 10pm—3am. £1 (free to CUSU members). Weekly. Eddie Tonner and Scott Mochar with quality house and trance.

I Yang at Yang. llpm—3am. Free before midnight; £3 (£2) after. Weekly. Fantastic night featuring live funk action from Elevation Trio in the bar and weekly residents Bob Peck and Charlie lnman slamming out their trademark block party hip hop, funk and breaks. I Rumble at The Garage. 11pm—3am. £4 (£2). Weekly. Absolutely crackers student night, stuffed to the gunnels every time with kids sharking to the sounds of chart hits, indie favourites and lowbrow house. I Superstar at Trash. 11pm—3am. £4 (£3). Weekly. Party tunes, pop and indie faves for students and the like-minded.

I Klass at Destiny. 10pm—3am. £2 before 11pm; £3 after. Weekly. Casual night at the new wrought-iron exhibition-cum- club, with commercial sounds. This is the only time when denim and trainers are acceptable apparel here, so you don’t have to iron your Ben Sherman.

I Stateside Sounds at The State Bar. 4-7pm. Free. Weekly. Paul Shields selects alt-country favourites, rock classics and blues cuts.

I The Arlt at The Tunnel. 10.30pm—3am. £7 (£5). Weekly. The mighty triumvirate of Scott Mackay, Michael Kilkie and Zammo keep the crowd on their toes with top quality hard house, while Simon Foy kicks out smooth vocal house and garage in the back room.

I Blood at Planet Peach. 10pm-3am. £5. 7 Apr only. Kieran McAnn and the gang provide some of the best house action available in the city, and are set to be joined by Derrick Carter tonight to kick off the launch weekend of the Subversion mix CD on Loaded records.

I Buddasole at Club Budda. 11.30pm—3am. £5. Weekly. Solemusic head honcho Stevie Middleton with seriously high calibre soulful house and garage. For music lovers.

I Bughouse at Planet Peach. 10pm—3am. £8 (£7). 14 Apr only. The Bughouse crew are joined by local producers The Wackdaddies with a DJ set of New York-style house cuts.

I Bump 'n' Hustle at Babaza. 6pm-3am (DJs from 11pm). Free before 11pm; £5 after. Weekly. Paul Traynor and Jamie Strang of Archaos fame with fine and funky R&B cuts, hip hop and some classic soul and funk thrown in to keep the capacity crowd going. Arrive early to avoid disappointment, as this is one of the busiest regular Fri nighters around.
