PART-TIME ARTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

SNH wishes to recruit a part-time Arts Development Officer (24 hours/week), based at Battleby, near Perth. You will develop and oversee the ‘young peoples arts project’, to engage young people’s understanding and appreciation of Scotland‘s native woodlands and marine environments. You will promote the role of the arts within SNH and assist in the implementation of the SNH Arts framework. You will have at least two yearslexperience of managing an arts related project and excellent communication skills. Experience of working with young people and a knowledge of natural heritage issues would be advantageous.

This is a Fixed Term appointment for 2 years. The starting salary is in the range £18,000 £22,000 pro rata pa, depending on skills and experience, with further progression dependent on performance. We also offer a non-contributory pension scheme.

Educated to degree standard the successful candidate will have proven experience in promoting comparable organisations. Superior writing talent and interpersonal skills are required, combined with a broad knowledge of the fine arts and strong media contacts.
